A flash flood warning is in effect for western districts across the island.

According to the Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) localized showers will affect Bridgetown and western districts.

Meteorologist Christophe Martin explains that potential Tropical Cyclone 5 has resulted in light wind speeds across the island. He added that moderate to intense showers along with thunderstorm activity will occur throughout the afternoon.The flash flood warning will be updated at 6pm.
