The 2024 edition of the One Movement Contest is scheduled to be held next weekend in Barbados. The skating extravaganza, which will once more feature local and regional athletes, will come off on Kaitif Skatepark at the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, August 23-25.

The event begins at 4:00 pm each day, under the auspices of  the Skateboard Association of Barbados (SAB). The One Movement festival consists of a weekend of skateboarding events, culminating with the One Movement Invitational Skateboard Contest, OMISC.

OMISC is developed to provide high-level competition opportunities for skateboarders in Barbados and across the Caribbean. Contestants in 2024 are from: Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia

The competition will once more feature 2023 champion Tarryn Alleyne of Barbados, going up against finalists Chris Salloum of Trinidad & Tobago, Johnathan Austin, and Che Cheeseman. The latter two are both Bajans.

The Trinidad & Tobago contingent will be made of three competitors, including Salloum, as well as a contest judge, Kwesi Browne.

In 2023 SAB invited pro skateboarders for DGK, including their owner and co-founder Stevie Williams.
