One eyewitness, who was on her way to buy lunch, recounted the sudden turn of events that left her shaken. “I was going towards Western Union, so I am walking on the right-hand side of the road and when I cross over I heard a speed and a screech coming around the corner. When I looked down, I saw this car all the way out of control, ride the banking and hit the man, so I run to the Chefette door because I thought the car was coming to hit me too.” The driver of the vehicle stopped and ran over to the accident victim. Police and emergency services personnel quickly arrived on the scene and attended to the victim, who was later taken to hospital by ambulance. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
