Parkinson Memorial Secondary closed over environmental concerns

The Parkinson Memorial Secondary School has been closed for the day.

The development comes as teachers did not attend classes over several concerns, including the presence of bedbugs on the school compound and a sewage stench.

The Barbados Union of Teachers says the teachers reported their concerns to management and it is hoping the issues can be speedily resolved.

A notice issued by the Barbados Government Information Service has asked parents and guardians to collect their children as soon as possible.
