He has been identified as Pedro Caddle, 43, of Bissex Housing Area in Joseph. Police said around 9:10 a.m., they received a report of an accident in which a female was injured and the driver attempted to flee. A group of men chased him and beat him. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered his injured, unresponsive body. Ambulance personnel were summoned but they found no signs of life. Caddle was confirmed dead at the scene by a medical doctor. The accident victim has been hospitalised.
