Ministry signs MOU with Irish accreditation body

The Ministry of Education has signed its second MOU with the Accreditation Commission of Colleges of Medicine (ACCM) to help further improve the accreditation processes for medical students in Barbados.

During a brief signing ceremony in the auditorium of the ministry’s Elsie Payne Complex headquarters, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Sandra Husbands said the final signing with the institution aims to improve the best practices for medical accreditation for students.

“This partnership will allow us to share best practices, resources and expertise, ensuring that our accreditation processes are rigorous and relevant. In fostering this collaboration, we aim to create an environment that promotes educational excellence, professional development, and a culture of continuous improvement and accountability,” she said.
