Darren Sammy to be appointed West Indies senior men’s Head Coach for all formats

n a landmark decision, Daren Sammy has been named the head coach of the West Indies men’s cricket team, overseeing all formats of the game. The announcement was made by Miles Bascombe, the Director of Cricket for Cricket West Indies (CWI), during a quarterly press conference held in St. Vincent.

Sammy will officially step into the role for the Test side on April 1, 2025, while continuing his responsibilities for the white-ball teams. He takes over from Andre Coley as the chief strategist for the red-ball format.
