BWA stations in St George offline to facilitate urgent repairs

he Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises residents in parts of St George and Christ Church that it has temporarily ceased pumping from two of its facilities in St George to address urgent repairs in the distribution system.

While immediate service disruptions may not occur, customers in the following areas are advised to store an adequate amount of water as a precaution, as low-pressure or water outages may develop during the repair process:

Affected Areas Include:

  • St George: First Step, Lower Brighton, Waverley Cot, Buttals Tenantry, Good Intent, Eastlyn, Mannings Village, Walkers Valley, Constant, Windsor Tenantry, Campaign Castle, Brereton, Hannays Valley, Lower Grays, Dayrell’s Hill, Boarded Hall and the immediate surrounding areas.
  • Christ Church: Frere Pilgrim, Edey Village, Watts Village, St. Davids, Cox Road, Bannatyne, South District, and the immediate surrounding areas.

The BWA will make every effort to assist residents via water tankers where necessary and will provide updates upon the completion of repairs. (PR)
