Police probe deadly hit-and-run in St George

Barbados has recorded another road fatality after a man lost his life in a suspected hit-and-run collision on Saturday night.

According to the Barbados Police Service, the District B Station received a report of a body lying motionless along Watts Village Road, St George, at around 11:30 p.m.

A patrol responded to the area and saw the body of a male lying on the roadway.

The ambulance service was contacted, and personnel examined the body and found no signs of life. A medical doctor came to the scene and pronounced death.

Based on initial investigations, the deceased was struck by a vehicle that did not stop. (BT)
