Murder accused remanded on multiple firearm charges

A 27-year-old Bank Hall, St Michael man has been remanded to Dodds Prison on a number of serious charges, including murder.Garendra Alexander Thomas, of Yearwood Land, appeared in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes, where the indictable charges were read. No plea was taken.
The charges, which all allegedly stem from November 19, include:
  • Murdering Jabaree Carrington
  • Possession of a firearm without a valid licence
  • Possession of 15 rounds of ammunition without a permit
  • Use of a firearm
  • Four counts of Endangering life
  • Four counts of Criminal damages
Thomas is scheduled to return to court on December 18.
