Man charged with firearm, ammunition offences

A 22-year-old St Michael man has been charged with firearm and ammunition offences following an operation by the Barbados Police Service’s Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU).

Police said Jerimiah Sellassie Bartlett of Block 3A Furnihurst, Deacons Road, St Michael was arrested and formally charged with possession of a firearm and possession of seven rounds of ammunition, both allegedly committed on January 3, 2026.

Bartlett is scheduled to appear in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Wednesday, January 7
