Education officials respond mass casualty

Following reports of Tuesday morning’s mass casualty involving a public service vehicle (PSV) in which a few students were travelling, the Ministry of Educational Transformation immediately dispatched school officers from the secondary section to lend support to the affected students.
While in communication with the responding officer from The Barbados Police Service, it was revealed that injuries were sustained by two students travelling in the PSV and two students travelling in the other vehicle involved in the accident.

The ministry will continue to monitor the progress of the injured students and offer any further support as required.
We take this time to urge everyone to exercise the greatest care and attention when traversing our roads in order to minimize these unfortunate incidents. (PR)
