Three in custody after major drug seizure offshore

Three Barbadians are in custody after a Barbadian-registered fishing vessel was intercepted at sea with close to 700 kilogrammes of cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than $33 million.

The men were detained in the wee hours of Thursday morning during a joint operation involving the Police Narcotics Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard. (PR)
