Eight China medical team arrives at QEH

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) has welcomed members of the 8th China Medical Team, who have been deployed to work alongside its clinical staff in strengthening specialist services and enhancing patient care.

The team comprises seven medical specialists across a range of disciplines:

  • Dr Yu Yang – Cardiovascular Surgeon
  • Dr Cui Hong – Anaesthesiologist
  • Dr Cui Kun – Cardiologist (Team Captain)
  • Dr Hu Kei – Joint Surgeon
  • Dr Li Huanhuan – Nuclear Medicine Physician
  • Dr Xiao Yang – Ultrasound Diagnostic Physician
  • Dr Mou Qiujie – Acupuncturist

These specialists will collaborate across multiple departments, contributing their expertise in cardiovascular care, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, and complementary therapies. Their presence supports continued knowledge exchange, skills transfer, and the strengthening of specialised clinical services at the QEH.

Director of Medical Services, Dr. Carlos Chase, met with the Team Captain and members of the delegation and conducted a tour of several key departments to familiarise them with hospital operations and clinical workflows.

The team will officially commence duties tomorrow, Thursday, February 26. The QEH is grateful for this continued partnership and the positive impact it will have on patient outcomes and service delivery. (QEH)
