Greaves misses out on podium finish

Arielle Greaves finished a commendable sixth in the 1km time trial final at the Junior Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico on Friday.

The event was won by Columbia’s Manuella Loziza, with Greaves’ performance in the evening session coming after she set the track ablaze this morning in the opening heat.

On that occasion, she clocked an impressive time of 1:12.011 to establish a new national junior record, eclipsing the previous mark of 1:15.601 which she set in Lima, Peru in 2025.

It follows her stellar performance on Wednesday, where she set a new national record in the opening round of the flying 200m, before being eliminated at the quarterfinal stage.
