St Kitts – Barbados are the new champions of the West Indies Cricket Board regional two-day Under-15 championship.
Today, for the second consecutive day, not a ball was bowled due to rain in their fifth and final round match against Trinidad & Tobago at the Conaree Sports Complex.
There was also no play in the other two matches. Dethroned champions Jamaica were taking on Guyana at Warner’s Park and Leewards Islands met Windward Islands at Edgar Gilbert Complex.
Leeward Islands had reached 51 for one in the limited time available after tea on Monday.
All three matches ended in no-decisions and each team gained three points.
Barbados, who played unbeaten with four wins ended with 63 points, Windward Islands came second with 57 points.
It was Barbados’ first success since 2004, when they won in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. They also were victorious in 1997, winning all five matches.
