Have you ever heard the saying when “life throws you lemons make lemonade”? I am sorry but I beg to differ. If you make lemonade with the lemons that indicates that you are accepting what is, but if you throw them back that means that you are not settling for anything less than the best.
At some points in life when hardships arise, instead of trying to get out of it we tend to sit back, get depressed and say to ourselves — why me? I have come to realise that when one door closes another one opens and sometimes we stare at the closed door for so long that we don’t see when another opens.
With the hard economic times that are before us we will need all the support we can get, whether it is financial or emotional, from our friends and families. Never believe that you can go through any situation by yourself, you will always need help along the way. A five-letter word called pride is something that stops us from getting the help we may require. Never be ashamed to ask for help.
Have you ever realised that when you are at your weakest point or in dire need of help something happens? I know I can testify to that. You feel like you are at a rock in a hard place and you don’t know where to turn but my advice to you is to look up, let go and let God.
I know that sometimes being positive when all around seems like things are falling apart is difficult, but what else is there to do? Tears will not help the situation — neither will getting angry. Take a moment to decide what course of action you will be taking to get yourself out of whatever situation you may be in.
I saw this quote online and thought I would share it with you:
“Sometimes in life, you find a special friend. Someone who changes your life just by being a part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop. Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship.
“When you’re down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows. If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on. Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend, and forever has no end.” – Unknown
