When the men’s and women’s health clinics of the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic in Wildey, St. Michael, meet this Thursday, September 27, the discussion will be on Sleep Apnea.
It is a sleep disorder characterised by abnormal pauses in breathing or instances of abnormally low breathing, during sleep.
The facilitator will be Pulmonologist, Dr. Anne Marie Hassell, and the presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the lecture.
Persons are urged to come and learn about this illness since symptoms might be present for years without identification. Sufferers may, as a result, become conditioned to the daytime sleepiness and fatigue associated with significant levels of sleep disturbance. (BGIS)
