blp candidate caters to over 1,000 people at annual christmas party
Barbados Labour Party candidate for St. Michael East, Trevor Prescod, treated more than 1,000 people to a Christmas party last Sunday.
He said that although he had catered for about 450 he did not turn away the additional people, instead he welcomed them and put a team a place to prepare more food.
Prescod said that the guests spread beyond the BLP to include his friends, David Comissiong, Bobby Clarke and others.
While the adults were having fun dancing, chatting or listening to the live entertainment provided by Rusty and a DJ, the children were having fun in a separate section with a jumping tent and other things.
Prescod thanked his friends and the “collective bodies in the private sector” who contributed to the annual event.
“I will continue to at least share, commemorate and celebrate this event because it is one the people really look forward to at this special season every year,” he said.
The party was held at the Barbados Community College. (DS)
