David Simpson, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, joins individuals and corporate citizens of our nation as we reflect on a year just ended, that presented opportunities and challenges that required each of us to refocus and become more innovative and creative in order to secure our survival. Our institute and its membership had a productive year as we continued to work diligently towards our objectives, while we remained committed to sharing our knowledge, expertise and skills with our Government, people and businesses that have made this nation what it is today. As we look towards 2013, the board, management and staff of ICAB encourage Barbadians to spare no effort in working towards their personal and corporate objectives set.
We envisage a year where our Government and corporate leaders will engage our people at a level higher than ever before, and that this renewed approach will lead to the innovation, creativity and the sense of purpose required to bring the change and transformation needed in our society, our economy, our community and our nation. ICAB is committed to the development of our nation through to provision of reliable professional accounting and related services to our community. We take this opportunity to wish our fellow Barbadians a happy and prosperous new year filled with health, safety, productivity and reward.††
