It’s about five months before the unofficial start of Crop-Over and Mr. Dale is in the studio working on some Smokyn Vybz. He told Bajan Vibes that this year, his fans could see him return to singing social commentary in the tent. He has already started to work on his material for this year and while he has not fixed a date for the release yet, he is working on a number of tracks.
“I’m looking to bring a Mr. Dale album, the fans have been calling for it far and wide. I’m also looking at a return to social commentary after seven-year layoff. The album will comprise about four new songs and then a compilation of my hits throughout the years. I’ve started writing the social commentary material. “The album will feature both local and international artistes and producers [including] Alison Hinds, Biggie Irie, Mikey, Spragga Benz, Kerwin Dubois, to name a few. It will be a real potpourri. Another major artist is interested so we’ll see if the vibe right because regardless of name the musical and spiritual vibe gotta be right,” he said. (DS)
