Chefette Restaurants, as part of its continuing community outreach programme to further promote its local heritage, recently donated $8,000 to the Barbados Red Cross Society. During the presentation Director General of the society, Edmond Bradshaw, expressed gratitude to Chefette as well as the general public.
“The Barbados Red Cross is especially touched by the enormous concern and care that Chefette Restaurants, and its customers have for those less fortunate persons that we assist in our Meals on Wheels Programme,” Bradshaw said.
“The goodness we are sure results in many blessing for these kind Chefette people, whose assistance helps the poor, the shut-ins, the incapacitated, amputees, the blind, those suffering with ailments and with AIDS.
“You bring sustenance and happiness to the hearts of those really in need. Thanks for your wonderful support and may many blessings be showered on all who support this most worthy cause.”
Advertising Manager of Chefette Restaurants, Lisa Carter, noted that the donation came as part of Chefette’s continuing community outreach programme and expressed appreciation to Bradshaw for participating in the programme and giving Chefette the opportunity to further assist the society.
Carter also revealed that the gift to the society was made possible through the help of the general public. Customers have been making monetary contributions to the donation boxes that are placed in all of its 14 Restaurants and two BBQ Barns.
