Barbadian Mike Jackman is heading back home after calling it a day as deputy police commissioner in Bermuda.
“Undoubtedly, his service has helped to make Bermuda safer,” Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva said in a statement.
Jackman, who joined the Bermuda Police Service in 1982 as a PC and rose to the second-highest rank in the force in 2009, has retired after 32 years on the job.
Two year ago, he was awarded the Overseas Territories’ Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
He is expected to return to Barbados at the end of this month. (The Royal Gazette)
