Chelsea Roett continues to make headline waves in the world of surfing.
And she will be seeking to impress once again as she takes off for California to take part in the US Open Of Surfing at Huntington Beach. The following week she will competing at the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) six star SuperGirl Pro at Oceanside, California. The Barbadian lass has been in sizzling form on the international circuit having already had recent three podium finishes. She was first at the National Scholastic Surfing Association’s Regional Championships Open Women’s, and the Explorer Women’s Divisions staged in New Smyrna Florida in April. She was also third at the ASP Pro Junior Roxy/Ron Jon Surf Festival in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in March.
Roett is currently ranked fifth in the North American region and is looking to improve her ranking at the upcoming US Open and at the SuperGirl Pro. Roett said she is really looking forward to getting back to California and surfing at Huntington Beach and Oceanside Beach both of these brakes can get really good and be a lot of fun.
Since returning from the US Chelsea has been training and enjoying her local surf breaks in preparation for the surf conditions expected at Huntington and Oceanside beaches in California. Her local preparation also includes surfing in Barbados Surfing Association contests where she has won the Open Women’s Division at the first three BSA events for the year and is leading the local standings in the Open Women’s Division.
