The tenure of Adrian Elcock as chairman of the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) has officially come to an end.
However, Elcock has agreed to stay on until monthend in the first instance to supervise the ongoing restructuring at the main tourism marketing and promotional arm.
“I have advised that I am not continuing,” said Elcock, who was appointed back in 2011 to replace hotelier Ralph Taylor at the helm of the BTA.
“My term ended on Saturday but I have been extended until I can get this restructuring fully in place,” he told Barbados TODAY.
The director of Everson R. Elcock & Company Limited, who is excited about the recent changes which have been made at the BTA, believes they will position the institution for growth and development in the future.
He said after three years at the helm, it was time to refocus his energy on his personal business.
