British national Graeme Hatt of The Mount, St. George, died on the spot today, after his hired vehicle collided with a container truck along Bulkeley Road, St. George.
The incident occurred about 11:50 a.m.
Police say the two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions.
The truck was driven by 48-year-old Franklyn Sterling, of Hindsbury Road, St. Michael, who escaped injury.
Another major accident occurred on Coverley Road, Christ Church around 10 am involving a car and a motorcycle.
The car was driven by 23-year-old Jalissa Callender of Coverley, Christ Church and the rider of the motorcycle was 48-year-old Tony Forde of Enterprise, Christ Church.
Forde received multiple injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance in an unconscious state.
