The Blade is coming.
Bodybuilding fans will get the opportunity to view the muscularity of Dexter The Blade Jackson when the Darcy Beckles Classic comes off this Saturday at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Jackson is a late replacement for ten-time Miss Olympia Iris Kyle who was originally slated to guest pose at the show but will now not be part of the muscle-fest.
Jackson is fresh from winning the Dubai Bodybuilding Classic three weeks ago. The 44-year-old IFBB professional is a previous Mr Olympia winner, a title he took in 2008.
That year he also won the Arnold Classic, Australian Pro Grand Prix VIII, New Zealand Grand Prix and the Russian Grand Prix.
In 2012, Jackson placed fourth in the Mr Olympia, then surprised everyone by winning that year’s Masters Olympia at the age of 43 and then won his fourth Arnold Classic title last year.
Jackson is one of only two bodybuilders to have won titles in both the Mr Olympia and Masters Olympia bodybuilding competition.
A card of 40 top male and female athletes drawn from St Lucia, Guyana, Antigua, St Maarten, Bermuda and Barbados, will compete in body fitness, open classic, bikini fitness, men’s physique and the Invitational Classic.
Showtime is 6 p.m.
