Red House are once again champions at Lawrence T. Gay Primary School, after their highly competitive inter-house sports meet was held at the National Stadium today.
Red House, who won last year, tallied 303 points to stave off a keen challenge from the second placed Green House who scored 293 points. Yellow House were third with 251 points and Blue House finished fourth with 221.
The victor ludorum trophy went to under-nine champion Amani Knight of Green House who won the long jump, 100m, and came second in the 80m and 150m to register a total of 38 points.

There was no stopping Tonika Griffith of Red House who amassed 48 points while stamping her authority on proceedings. She won every event she contested, including the 80m, 100m, 150m and long jump.

In the under-11 division Keimar Mars of Green House scored 35 points while winning the 200m, 400m, long jump and placing third in the 100m. The boys under-11 division went to Shayne Trotman of Yellow House who won the 100m and placed second in the 200m and 400m.

Red House Malyka Scantlebury truly made everyone in the under-13 girls division see red when she slammed the field in the 100m, 200m and the long jump. However, she had to settle for second place in the 4000m.

Meanwhile Ashem Vaughan of Yellow House was the major force in the under-13 boys with wins in the 100m, 200m and 400m. Yellow House captured both the boys and the girls under-seven division through Amarijah Hinds in the girls who won the 50m dash and Renaco Beckles who won the boys 50m.
