Barbados’ national swim team recently excelled at the 30th CARIFTA Swimming Championships and once again Rubis was very much a part of that success.
Rubis has been assisting in outfitting the team over the past few years and this year as the team captured 55 medals while competing against 20 other regional teams, it was quite noticeable that they were smartly attired.
Rubis presented team members with hoodies just prior to the start of the competition and the company’s network brand coordinator Raydeen Hunte spoke to the relationship the energy company had with the local swimming association.
“This is a continuation of our relationship with the national team as we presented Speedo team gear bags in 2013 and now we are pleased to have outfitted them with hoodies,” she said.
Accepting the kits on behalf of the swimmers and management of the CARIFTA 2015 swim team were Andrea Titus and Samantha Clarke who thanked Rubis once again for stepping up to support the swimmers.
“The team continues to use the Speedo team gear bags at every national swim meet we attend and this year Rubis has once again showed their support of our young athletes with the donated hoodies, which have proven to be very useful and appreciated” Titus Clarke explained that the swimmers had worked extremely hard, trained as many as nine sessions a week, both morning and evening, in order to achieve excellence and added it was wonderful when the swimmers could see their hard work being noted and appreciated.
The next competition for the local swimmers is the CCCAN championship in El Salvador in June.
