Veteran athlete Merle Jordan will be heading to Nice, France, tomorrow to compete in the third European Masters Games which will be staged between October 1 and 10.
Jordan will be competing in the 100m, 200m and 400m. Jordan previously won bronze in the 100m and 400m, as well as gold in the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay in the 2011 games held in Lignano, Italy.
The veteran has also competed in Games in Sweden and Canada.
She told Barbados TODAY that she had been training extensively for the Games and expected to do well. She explained she had been doing lots of road and beach work and was prepared to give of her best. This is the 14th year Jordan has been competing in seniors’ athletics.
