Late yesterday afternoon a woman appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No. 1 on four drugs charges.
Danissa Shontelle Foster, 23 of 2A North Close, Wildey, St Michael was not required to plead to possession, importation, trafficking and intent to supply 3 kilograms of cocaine on October 7.
Foster went before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.
The accused was granted $80 000 bail and is to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on November 4.
When the question of bail arose, attorney-at-law Arthur Holder responded by saying that his client was gainfully employed, a Barbadian and the mother of two young children.
He added that the quantity involved was not beyond what magistrates could grant bail for.
Foster is to surrender her travel documents and report to Central Police Station twice a week.
