The St Philip woman who had been missing since October 13 and was later found dead in a ravine at Halton Plantation in the same parish will be laid to rest on Friday, November 27 at the St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral on Jemmotts Lane, St Michael.
The 10 a.m. funeral service will signal the final farewell for 75-year-old Marcelle Smith, formerly of Farm Road.
An autopsy revealed that Smith died from strangulation.
Cheriss Ricardo Omar Ince of Nursery No.2, Four Roads, St Philip has been charged with her murder.
Ince, who has already appeared in court to answer the charge, has been remanded to HMP Dodds until December 2 when he will reappear in court.
