Christ Church West MP Dr Maria Agard made her way to her usual seat at the southern end of the Opposition benches today where she stayed during this morning’s session of Parliament, despite informing reporters that she will be sitting as an Independent.

When asked if she was still a committed Barbados Labour Party (BLP) member, the embattled parliamentarian said: “I will say at this time I am indeed a committed member of the BLP.”
Dr Agard gave the assurance that shewas a peacemaker at heart with an interest in Barbados and the people of Barbados.
She promised reporters that when she holds a press conference later in the week she will speak extensively on any decisions that she intended to make. (NC)

That is the correct thing to do, she was elected by the people to serve them and it is the people to remove her if they find that she is not representing them!

Stand your ground girl. You were duly elected by the people in a process recognized by the constitution of Barbados. Don’t let a kangaroo court, comprising of self-aggrandizing people, take what is rightfully yours.
