A teenager went before the District ‘C’ Magistrates Court yesterday, charged with the Independence Day murder of Dwayne Burgess.
Burgess died after he was shot at Ruby Main Road, St Philip on November 30 last year.
Yesterday morning, Hakeem Roberto Stuart, 18, of Sherbourne Gap, St Lawrence, Christ Church was not required to plead to the indictable charge which Magistrate Christopher Birch read to him.
Stuart first appeared at the Oistins Court in mid-December but his matter was transferred and adjourned until yesterday.
He is being represented by attorneys-at-law Andrew Pilgrim Q.C and Kamisha Benjamin.
The accused, who is on remand, returns to court on February 9.
