Surrey have signed West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo for this summer’s NatWest T20 Blast.
Bravo, who starred for the Melbourne Renegades in the recent Big Bash competition, will be available throughout June for Surrey.
He will join forces with the likes of Kumar Sangakkara and Jason Roy in an exciting Surrey batting line-up.
Bravo, 32, has played 277 T20 matches, scoring nearly 4,500 runs and taking 285 wickets at an average of 23.94.
Bravo told the club’s website: “I’m really happy to have signed for Surrey. It’s a club I’ve always wanted to play for. I can’t wait to join the boys in June and play in front of all my English fans.”
Director of Cricket Alec Stewart added: “Dwayne is one of the top all-rounders in world T20 cricket. He’s played with great success wherever he’s been, so to secure his services is a great coup for us.
“He’s a game changer and a match-winner – and he told me has always wanted to play for Surrey. I’m sure plenty of people will want to come through the gates to see his talent.”
Bravo’s arrival comes the day after Surrey announced Graham Ford had left the club to take over as Sri Lanka head coach. (Sky)
