Trinidad and Tobago’s grand finale events Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday as usual was very highly anticipated. Over the last two days of revelry before Ash Wednesday, yesterday, Carnival lovers from all over the world converged on Port of Spain for Mas as the curtain came down on one of the biggest and most exciting carnivals in the world.
The revellers would have taken yesterday to rest, relax and recuperate. But the memories of Trini Carnival, 2016 will surely live on for days, even months, to come, and will be the topic of many a discussion across the region, and most definitely in the mind of one reveller –– Carissa –– who got engaged as she was about to cross the stage.
Today, Bajan Vibes presents you with some of the street scenes out of Port of Spain, in particular those of you who were not fortunate enough to experience the Trinidad jump-up.
