After pleading guilty yesterday to a theft charge within the District ‘E’ jurisdiction, Dane Rene Ellis was today sentenced to a year in prison by Magistrate Wanda Blair.
When Ellis returned before Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates Court today for sentencing in relation to stealing jewellery valued $5,400 belonging to Carolyn Fulton, he was hit with another six months.
That two terms will run consecutively.
The unemployed man, of no fixed address, is yet to be sentenced on 17 other counts to which he has already confessed.
He returns before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant at the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court tomorrow to be sentenced on those, most of which were for burglarizing business places.
