A new Crop Over band is ready to erupt at this year’s festival. Erup is ready for Road Domination, come August 1.
The band is a new Barbadian-based entity, managed by a committed team of young professionals, seeking to transform the Crop Over experience by providing its patrons with a high quality of care and service, and an unmatched, memorable experience both on and off the road.
Erup The Band’s 2016 presentation Invictus: Journey To The Throne will feature six exquisitely designed sections.
“To ensure the highest quality of our production, we have sought the perfect combination of young, reputed and talented designers to make up the band’s design team. These include Shawn Dhanraj, David Dewer, Rawle Permanand, as well as Stronjeh Creations, which would manage and promote a section of the band,” the bandleader revealed.
“Although new, the band has been able to nurture multiple beneficial relationships, and its team believes that the strengths of the individual members would translate to the best fusion required for an exceptional time on the road. The provision of critical support in various areas by local, regional and international, stakeholders would ensure that all our patrons are comfortable and happy as they participate in Barbados’ signature summer festival.”
Plans are currently being finalized for the May 7 band launch, and Erup The Band has already been having an overwhelming response from interested patrons across the Caribbean, United States and Britain. (DB/PR)
