Led by an unbeaten 84 from Andre Fletcher, the West Indies strolled to their second victory in as many matches by crushing defending champions Sri Lanka by seven wickets just moments ago.
Playing at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the regional side produced a superb bowling performance to limited Sri Lanka to 122 for nine from their 20 overs.
Samuel Badree was the pick of the Windies’ bowlers, grabbing three wickets for just 12 runs from his four overs, while Dwayne Bravo captured two wickets. Despite going wicketless, Barbadian left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn bowled impressively, conceding just 13 runs from his four overs.
In their reply, led by opener Fletcher who made 84 from 64 balls and struck six fours and five sixes, the Windies strolled to 127 for three from 18.2 overs.
The only bit of bad news for the winners was that Chris Gayle picked up an injury while fielding and did not bat.
