Two men were nursing injuries after a serious accident in Church Church this evening.
Just before 3 p.m., Rennie Nathan, 71, of Gibbons Boggs in the same parish lost control of the motor lorry he was driving, which flipped along Spencer’s Road.
Nathan’s right leg was broken during the accident and a male passenger whose name has not been disclosed, suffered a serious laceration to the right side of his face.
Both men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
thank God they both are alive

Brakes, tyres, and steering… these three things I give you, but the greatest of all is the brain….which maketh them come together to maintain control, and in so doing, keepeth thy life safe, and that also of thy fellow-men.
BTW: no mention is made in this piece, of any other vehicle being involved: road conditions today were dry surface; sunny, clear, and bright.

These vehicles in Barbados seems to be of a different make to the world , they smash up like paper and just turn over, but then all the drivers just loosing control, this is madness.. My take I don’t think a lot of these people is qualified to drive…
One thing who picks up the bill for all of these rubbish cars they are all written off..

@JRS:-
1. Q.E.H. gine put him back togedder, fuh free (except, dat tax-payers support Q.E.H.)
2. Effin a cupple poles , or a culvert, whatever, get lick-way too, some body gine fix dem back, yep, fuh free.
3. Replace de truck/vehicle: Effin e’ got comp. insurance, de insurance gine pay ( and insurance companies (and re0insurers, regularly look at the incidence of such risks..and raises thier premiums ….on ALL drivers …(like you and me too).
4. How we gine get the new truck imported into Bim? No problem, just fire-off a wire-transfer in USD$, or Yen, because we got plenty of F/X and was worrrying about how we gine spend it anyway.
Any mo’ questions, please? Like, how to put-together some policy changes to (a) penalise such silliness on our roads, and (b) incentivise our carefull drivers to continue to drive carefully?
