Two men were fined $1,500 forthwith or spend three months in prison after pleading guilty to possession of cannabis, when they appeared in the District B Magistrates Court today.
Kenneth McGregor Walrond of Cheshire, St John, and Kemar Olando Goddard of the United States were charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking. Walrond received an additional charge of importation of cannabis.
Both men were slapped with the charges when they arrived by air today, after a search by Customs of Walrond’s luggage revealed three shoes with cannabis hidden inside.
They were reprimanded and discharged for the offences of possession with intent to supply and trafficking. Walrond was reprimanded and discharged for the offence of importation.
