The man charged with the murder of Dwayne Jason Omar Gooding of My Lords Hill, St Michael appeared in the District “A” Magistrates Court today and was remanded to prison until May 24.
Thirty-four-year-old Omar Ryan Oneal Hurdle of 3rd Avenue, The Ivy, St Michael was not required to plead to the indictable offence, but as the charge was read to him by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, he stood pensively in the dock before he was led off to jail in chains and handcuffs, under security escort.
Gooding died on Sunday morning from multiple wounds he sustained in an attack on Saturday night.
The accused killer, who was dressed in a black and white plaid shirt, dark khaki trousers and sneakers for today’s court appearance, was represented by
attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens.
