Whatever the reason was for Javon Fabian Yearwood’s presence in the courtyard yesterday, chances are he did not go there to be arrested.
However, that was exactly what happened after the complainant in a kidnapping matter reportedly saw Yearwood within the precincts of the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court. Police were notified and Yearwood was arrested and charged with the offence.
The accused is from Clevedale, Black Rock, St Michael.
When he appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, he was not required to plead to the indictable kidnapping charge which she read to him.
He was granted $5,000 bail and told to return to court on August 25.
Yearwood was also warned to stay away from the complainant Shane Riley.
