In an unprecedented occurrence, a woman urinated in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No 2 today.
The woman whose court matter had already been dealt with by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, never asked to be excused from the courtroom – she simply raised her dress and passed water while sitting on the front bench.
This forced a brief adjournment of the court, as the accused was escorted from the courtroom by a female constable.
The custodian was called and the area had to be cleaned, after which business continued as usual.
It is understood that the young woman suffers with seizures. She will return to court next month.
