A 21-year-old man, who pleaded guilty in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court to stealing a television set, was Friday sentenced to two years in jail by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.
However, the sentence handed down against Shaquille Farley of 3rd Avenue Park Road, Bush Hall, St Michael will run concurrently with another two year sentence imposed on him on June 24, but had been suspended on condition that he stayed out of trouble with the law.
“Dah means I would only have to spend two years cause concurrent means . . . [running together],” Farley said before the magistrate interrupted him.
The offence occurred on May 19 this year and the property was not recovered.
