A Christ Church man was yesterday warned to stay as “far as possible” from his accuser.
Romel Jamal Anderson Bynoe, 29, of Breedy’s Land, Silver Sands, Christ Church appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick charged with using threatening language towards Akasha Greene.
According to the charge sheet, Bynoe told Greene: “If I can’t have you, nobody else can get you or I gine chop off your head.”
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
But before being granted $3, 000 bail with one surety, the magistrate caution him about the seriousness of the charge.
“This type of allegation is a serious allegation, so you will have to stay far away from her as possible,” Frederick said, adding:“If you see her on one side of the street what do you do?”
Bynoe said: “Go on the other side.”
He returns to court on November 28.
