Police were today called into HMP Prison at Dodds, St Philip to investigate reports that illegal drugs were found in that penal institution.
All Police Public Relations Officer Acting Station Sergeant Roland Cobbler would say is that they received a report from the prison. Assistant Superintendent of Prisons DeCarlo Payne also confirmed that police had responded to a report that contraband had been introduced into the institution.
However, Barbados TODAY understands that a prison officer is at the centre of investigation into the drug find, which was reportedly made in shoes stored in a locker.
So far, no charges have been laid.
Hmmmm who will guard the guards?

Dem Government Boots, Government Boots ,left right ,left right like da marching to their own beat.
When the general public complain about Government employees benefiting from crime people often disagree. There is wide spread corruption in Barbados, lead by those hired and elected to oversee and prevent the same. It is not only happening at Dodds, the Airport, the Port but in many other Government Departments ,Including Housing And others.
It has become extremely hard to trust any Government Official .The few that can be trusted are far and in between ,which is unfair to those ones that are genuine. There is so much corruption in little Barbados it is frightening.Who can we trust?

I said so a while back when the SAME DODDS PRISON was in the news.
I said back then that it was BIG..!!
“Assistant Superintendent of Prisons DeCarlo Payne also confirmed that police had responded to a report that contraband had been INTRODUCED into the institution.”
Introduce ??????….introduce means FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Looks as though a DISGRUNTLED OFFICER is who notified the Police because DRUGS were entering the Prison from the days at GLENDAIRY .
I even know a former Prison Officer who was dismissed for bringing drugs into Glendairy so I don’t know why the word INTRODUCE was used ,probably to FOOL people that that was the FIRST time.
Look there are PRISON OFFICERS 1 and 11 driving bout in SUVs and BIG VEHICLES and living in BIG HOUSES.

There are also Prison Officers whose salaries have not paid for months.
Agreed !!…BUT that is NOT an excuse for bringing drugs into the Prison.
