Sixty-two-year-old Stephen Earl Brathwaite will spend the next nine months in jail.
Today, he pleaded guilty plea before Magistrate Douglas Frederick to possession of a cocaine apparatus, in breach of his earlier 12-month bond.
Brathwaite, who was ordered to pay $1,500 forthwith or spend nine months in prison, told the District ‘A’ No. 1 Magistrates’ Court that he was unable to pay the fine.
As a result he was hauled off to prison to begin serving his sentence at HMP Dodds.
Additionally, Brathwaite, of no fixed place of abode, was slapped with a three-month sentence for today’s offence. The two terms will run concurrently.
