Two men who appeared before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on separate wounding charges were each granted $7 000 bail yesterday.
Bertram Alphonso Drayton, 48, of 3rd Avenue Sisnett Road, Martindale’s Road, St Michael, and Richard Ricardo Nicholls, 40, of French Village, St Peter, were not required to enter pleas when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Criminal Court.
Drayton is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Melinda Drayton on September 30.
There was no objection to his bail, which was secured with two sureties.
However, he was warned to stay away from the virtual complainant and to live with one of his sureties.
Drayton returns to court on January 5, 2017.
Nicholls, meanwhile, secured his bail with one surety.
He is accused of unlawfully wounding Charles Worrell on September 18, with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or to do him some other serious bodily harm.
Nicholls was also warned by Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant to stay away from the alleged victim.
He returns to court on January 4, 2017.
