Community worker Neil Rowe, a first time contestant in elective politics, tonight romped home with a 114 to 46 victory over columnist Marsha Hinds-Layne to win the Opposition Barbados Labour Party’s St Michael North West nomination.
What started out as a four-way race ended up with only two contestants, after Michael Harris and veteran politician Mark Williams pulled out of the race, with Williams throwing his support behind Rowe.
The nomination took place at the Ellerslie Secondary School.

Once Mark Williams is NOT contesting that seat. It gets my support. Mr. Rowe, please do NOT take advice from him. Sorry Marsha the people prefer Mr. Rowe to represent them.
